Stepover Trained Trees
Stepover' fruit trees are basically one-tier espalier trees which are trained along wires at the front of a border to form an original and attractive edging. Both apple and pear ‘stepovers’ are available and as pruning just consists of light triming to maintain the shape, they are easy to keep.
One stepover tree will grow up to 3.7m (12ft) in length.

A late variety that produces heavy crops of large, sweet, good-flavoured apples. Cooks to a yellow fluff. In late winter it can be eaten as a dessert apple.
