Strawberry 'Chelsea Pensioner' - Pack of 12 (Late summer)

Bred in the U.K. Chelsea Pensioner has been chosen to honour that great band of old campaigners, the Chelsea Pensioners, men whose fighting days with the British Army are now over for good. In our opinion, Chelsea Pensioner is one of the best varieties to be released in modern times and is perhaps as close as we will ever get to the perfect strawberry. It produces bumper crops of large, bright red fruits with such a wonderful sweet flavour, they may well remind you of strawberries as they were in your childhood days. There is still much to learn about this variety, but from early observations, it appears to have significant disease resistance. Flavour: Excellent.
