Codling Moth Trap
The codling moth trap reduces maggot damage to apples and pears. The trap uses the scent of the female moth to lure male moths into a trap from which they cannot escape to breed. Hence less maggots to infect the fruit. This trap should be hung out in early May and will help protect up to 5 average sized apple and pear trees within a 15 metre (50 foot) area for one season.
