Apple Tree 'Christmas Pippin'* (Late)
This exceptional new English apple is being described as the 'new garden Cox' and combines exquisite eating qualities from the past with todays modern garden expectations for flavour and performance. Christmas Pippin® is a crisp, sweet and highly aromatic apple that has a flesh that simply melts in the mouth and leaves a pleasant, but subtle honey aftertaste. Unlike the vintage 'Cox' this new variety is easy to grow and is suitable for growing nationwide. Ready to pick in mid October this apple will store well until Christmas...if they ever last that long!
Apple trees are grafted on a M26 rootstock and will reach an eventual height of 2.5-3.5m (8-12ft). Trees should be planted 3-4.5m (10-15ft) apart.
Apple trees are available for delivery from late November until late March.
Please remember that fruit trees do require staking for the first few years of their life, we also strongly recommend the use of rootgrow™ when planting to encourage strong root growth and aid establishment.
