Bamboos

Bamboos are magnificent ornamental plants that immediately conjure up visions of tropical climates and equatorial jungles. There are however many varieties that are suitable for the U.K climate and are some of the hardiest plants in our gardens, many native to the harsh climates of the Himalayas, East China and Korea. Bamboos are easy to grow, and will do well in any well drained soil. They can also be grown in containers and the height can be restricted easily by pruning.
