Bio-Friendly Gardening

Bio-Friendly Gardening involves using chemical-free methods to benefit the garden environment. This can include attracting beneficial insects to aid pollination (e.g. encouraging the Red Mason Bee) or to control pests (e.g. encouraging Lacewings which will consume aphids).

Pest control methods which are not dependent on the use of chemicals are becoming widely used, both by commercial growers and gardeners. The advantages of these techniques are that control is likely to be more effective, easier to carry out and less harmful to the environment.
