Malus

Flowering crab apples are among the most beautiful of small ornamental trees, providing a wealth of late spring flowers. This is followed by ornamental fruit which remains on the tree throughout the autumn and often well into winter. They can be planted in any reasonably fertile well-drained soil. They will benefit from a sunny position, but will also flower and fruit well if they are in partial shade.
