These beautiful evergreen perennials are becoming extremely fashionable and are the perfect addition to any garden. They are excellent in beds or herbaceous borders and can also be grown in containers. The Volcano series will produce a spectacular display of colour ranging from delicate shades of pink through to vivid reds from early June through to November. The lovely bell shaped flowers have orchid like markings in the throat and are carried on strong stems that are 70-80cm (2½-3½ft) high making them ideal for cut flower arrangements. Penstemons prefer a well drained soil, will thrive in sun or partial shade and are oblivious to drought or rain.
