Just a few inches of snow and everything changes. For most children this means ‘no school today’. The nearest snow covered slopes become toboggan runs. We don’t always know when, but it will certainly happen. Every winter snow falls in many parts of Britain. Your turn will come. Will you be ready and properly equipped for your family to enjoy this exciting winter phenomenon to the full? Every toboggan is supplied complete with its own pulling rope or webbing tow strap. All are TUV tested and conform to European Toy standard EN71:2001. Traditional Toboggans Michael Ress is as a fifth generation Bavarian coach builder who also builds the best traditional wooden sleds in Europe. The main structural components and skids are made with laminated beech wood for terrific strength. The top frame and seat slats are solid beech wood. Rounded steel runners are attached to the base of the skids. Supplied complete with wooden handled pulling rope. All timber work is coated with hard wearing polyurethane. Modern Toboggans KHW of Thuringia, who make all the ABS toughened plastic toboggans, have been winning prizes for their designs since 1995. They are also one of the biggest and most successful toboggan makers in the world. Each toboggan is blow moulded using special low temperature resistant polypropylene that will retain its full strength in temperatures right down to -20°C.
