Family Fruit Trees

Family fruit trees are single trees composed of more than one variety. The need for a pollination partner can create difficulties in a small garden where there is room for only one tree. Growing a family tree can be the solution. A significant advantage with family trees is the ease with which bees will pollinate the whole tree and hence all varieties get a good fruit set.

Family trees will grow to 3.6m-4.5m (12-15ft) in height and should be spaced 4.5m (15ft) apart.

Trees are available for despatch from late November until March.

We have now stopped taking orders for bare-rooted family trees for this season. We will list the varieties that will be available to order for delivery this autumn/winter in late summer.
