Cherry Plum Trees (Mirabelles) (Bare-rooted)
This range of Cherry Plums have been bred in the harshest of climates in the Crimea. They are hybrids between plums and cherry plums and were bred and selected for their natural resistance to sub zero temperatures, heavy yields and excellent flavour. They are larger than traditional English cherry plums and are rich in vitamins. They are delicious eaten straight from the tree but also make the most delicious jam, compote, jelly and juice. The cherry plum varieties offered will pollinate each other but will also be pollinated by the 'Victoria' plum.
Cherry Plum trees are grafted on a St Julian ‘A’ rootstock and will reach an eventual height of 3.5-4.5m (12-15ft). Trees should be planted 3.5-4.5m (12-15ft) apart.
Cherry plums are available for delivery from late November until late March.
