Apricot Trees
Richly flavoured and delicious, apricot trees need a warm sheltered situation to succeed. In colder regions of the U.K. they should only be grown under glass. They flower early, so frost protection may be necessary. They are self fertile, so only one tree needs to be grown, but hand pollination using a soft brush or rabbit's tail may be necessary.
A bush tree on St. Julien ‘A’ will grow to 3.5-4.5m (12-15ft) in height and spread. A fan trained tree on St. Julien ‘A’ needs a space of at least 3.5m (12ft) wide by 1.9m (6ft) high.
Trees are available for delivery from late November until late March.
