Strawberry Plants

The attractions of strawberries are many; the cost of planting stock is small, and they produce fruit even when given the minimum of attention and expense, though under these conditions the crop will vary in size considerably from year to year.  Strawberry plants should be spaced 30-40cm (12-16in) apart with a 75-90cm (30-36in) gap between rows.

Fruiting Periods

Early summer fruiting strawberries fruit from mid June to early July.
Mid summer fruiting strawberries fruit from late June to mid July.
Late summer fruiting strawberries fruit throughout July.
Perpetual fruiting strawberries fruit from mid August to mid October and may also crop in early summer.

We have now stopped taking orders for cold-stored strawberry plants.  We will shortly be listing those varieties that we will have available as 'king-sized pot grown plants' for despatch in August, plus our range of 'fresh dug' plants that will be available in October 2019.
