Lingonberry
The Lingonberry is from the same genus 'Vaccinium' as the blueberry and cranberry and therefore enjoys the same acid soil conditions. They are Ideal for growing in pots in an ericaceous compost and are evergreen and self fertile. They have a natural spreading habit and are particularly useful as an under planting around blueberries. They produce attractive pink flowers, followed by tart, juicy red fruits that can be used for jams, pie fillings, sauces and drinks.
