Minarette® Pear 'Doyenne du Comice' (Late)
Raised in 1849, this late pear has an excellent rich, sweet, aromatic flavour. Creamy white, melting, very juicy flesh. Fruits are large, but cropping can be irregular. Requires a warm, sheltered site. Unsuitable for the north. Will not pollinate Onward or vice versa.
Minarette® trees are perfect for today's smaller gardens because they can be planted as close as 60-90cm (2-3ft) apart as well as being ideal for growing in tubs on patios or balconies. When mature, Minarette® trees are 1.8-2.4m (6-8ft) tall and will crop prolifically.
Minarette® trees are available for delivery from late November until late March.
Please remember that Minarette® trees require permanent staking, we also strongly recommend the use of rootgrow™ when planting to encourage strong root growth and aid establishment.
Tree stakes, rootgrow™ and fruit tree feed can be found by clicking on the 'related products' tab above.
