A highly attractive deciduous tree with stunning variegated foliage.  In spring, it produces clusters of yellow-green flowers, but it is the young leaves, which emerge green with an eye-catching, broad, salmon-pink border decorating their edges, turning creamy-white as they mature, that are the real feature.  During winter, its pale grey branches make a nice contrast.

Acer negundo ‘Flamingo’, is also known as a box elder or an ash-leafed maple, will grow well in most free-draining soils, in full sun to part shade, but does best in a sheltered position.  A reasonably fast-growing tree, if left unpruned it can reach a height and spread of around 10-15m (32-50ft) x 8m (26ft) when mature, but this can be kept down considerably by hard pruning in early spring.  This also has the benefit of encouraging strong new growth with more enhanced leaf colour.

Supplied bare-rooted at approximately 1.4-1.5m (4½-5ft) high.

Available for delivery from November until March.

We strongly recommend the use of rootgrow™ when planting to encourage strong root growth and aid establishment.
